After the party

After the party.

Our Islander Sake Brewery will be a part of Hawaii’s biggest sake event. The Joy of Sake event in 2024 is set to be the largest ever, with 1,300 attendees. Our Junmai Daiginjo and a variety of other sakes will be available for people to sample on Friday, February 23 at 6:30 pm.

The sight of 1,400 sake lovers in Honolulu gathered in a huge building at the entrance to Waikiki was an amazing sight for me. Our sake brewery has been situated inside the hall where we were previously located, conversing with individuals who have a fondness for sake.

At the Joy of Sake this year, we were serving fresh sake to our guests who were enjoying a variety of imported Japanese sake right next to the entrance. Many customers were unaware that sake was made in Hawaii. The customers were pleasantly surprised by the aromas and flavors of fresh sake. The customers questioned if this was indeed a pineapple sake. We let them know that we made the sake ourselves, making use of Dole’s pineapple.

If you were unable to attend this event, we hope you will attend the next similar event scheduled for later this year. We are currently waiting for the organizers to announce the official date.
